A Brief History..
"In the year of 1762 Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed there was mention of a saw mill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..."
The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.

"My vision was to honor the people who had owned, lived worked, died, and enjoyed life at the Byrne's Mill and for it to be a place where people can now come to remember the past, enjoy the present, and make memories for the future." -Tyson
